Chinese Geely Opens First Assembly Unit In Tunisia
Chinese car manufacturer Geely has opened its first assembly unit in Tunisia’s coastal city of Sousse in partnership with local company Medicars.
The automaker Geely – ranked as the 13th car manufacturer in the world, aims to produce and distribute more than twenty-five hundred cars in Tunisia for the first phase of the project. It says that capacity can be tripled depending on the market demand.
Tunisia’s Minister of Investment, Zied Ladhari, praised the partnership adding that the government is opened for more foreign investors.
